Fluvy – a premium theme and card library for Home Assistant

Fluvy is a theme and a card library for Home Assistant designed as one thing: the theme (light and dark, fifteen palettes or your own accent), thirty-nine cards, Activity and History pages, a settings panel and an automatic dashboard, all drawn from the same design tokens. Free and open source (GPL-3.0), installed through HACS.

The whole app, one design

While Home Assistant wears the Fluvy theme, its own pages — Settings, Devices, Automations, the dialogs — follow the same design: the sidebar, the tabs, the cards, the forms. Fifteen palettes, from a warm pastel line (Linen, Sand, Sage, Mist…) to an electric one (Blaze, Flamingo, Iris, Volt…): the pictures here show Linen and Blaze.

Thirty-nine cards

Every card has an editor form and a live preview in the card picker; unavailable, unknown and missing states are drawn on purpose. Sliders and dials are precision controls: relative drag, slide away to slow down, hold for the 1 % scale.

Activity and History

Two of Home Assistant’s pages in the same idiom: the logbook as a timeline with who did what, and the history as charts with a scrub cursor, grouped by room or device. They stand in for the built-in pages while you want them; a switch gives Home Assistant’s pages back.

The settings panel

Fifteen palettes in a pastel and an electric line, or your own accent with every contrast checked; three shapes; where the look applies; the automatic dashboard; and each person’s own preferences — language, motion, haptics, a palette of their own. Changes apply live on every device, no reload. The live demo above has the panel in it.

The automatic dashboard

One line — strategy: { type: custom:fluvy-home } — and Fluvy reads your areas, devices, entities and energy preferences and builds Home, Lights, Climate, Energy, Security, Media, Agenda and Sensors views: lights grouped by room, appliances with their readings, the running thermostat first, the energy flow found by its words. It is rebuilt every time it opens, so a new device simply shows up.

Seven languages

English, Spanish, German, Dutch, French, Italian and Brazilian Portuguese, in every card, page and the settings panel — chosen in the panel or taken from your Home Assistant language. The automatic dashboard reads a house named in any of them.

Install

Fluvy needs Home Assistant 2026.9 or newer and HACS.

  1. In HACS, open the menu (⋮) → Custom repositories and add https://github.com/acosta290/fluvy as an Integration (it is in the queue for the default store).
  2. Search for Fluvy in HACS, download it and restart Home Assistant.
  3. Settings → Devices & services → Add integration → Fluvy. Nothing to configure: the integration puts the settings panel in the sidebar, loads Fluvy on every page and installs the theme.
  4. Choose the Fluvy theme in your profile, or from the panel’s Scope tab.

The full guide is in the repository, under docs/installation.md.

No telemetry, no network calls of its own, no dependency but Lit. Feedback, bug reports and ideas are very welcome — here or on GitHub.

Great look :+1:

I tried it and the shape and buttons “roundfulness” settings does nothing, even on the demo site. I like everything square so that’s the first thing i’ve tried.

Also, i cannot add a script while using the theme.

This look really great. I like how these are custom cards so you can still design a dashboard how you see fit.
I did notice that in latest release I was unable to locate the rooms card.
I was looking for a way to display what’s on in a room with the devices then link to that room dashboard for more info

Hi, a few new versions with improvements and features have already been released. If you still think something is missing or you’d like something added, feel free to open an issue here and I’ll gladly address it.

Thanks

Hi, a few new versions with improvements and features have already been released.

Can you give me more details about the functionality you mentioned? I’d be happy to create it in a GitHub issue.

thanks
