FM Radio controlled by HA?

Good morning,

I’m looking for a mini FM radio receiver that can tie into Home Assistant. I have an audio feed on a mini transmitter on frequency 87.00mhz in my house that I have several FM receivers in rooms tied to mini speakers. I’d like to make one of the mini speakers controlled by Home Assistant… using automations to turn the volume up or down. I’m looking for something similar to this: https://a.co/d/0yV9kLo

It has to be able to receive 87.00mhz, have manual volume control, be able to solder to a speaker, and be controlled by HA. Is anyone aware of something out there that fits this requirement?

Thank you

Look for “Frontier Silicon” chipset based radios - they work great with HA. Such models are sold in Lidl (in Europe), some models of Auna radios (www.auna.de) are also based on that chipset. Note that these are mostly FM/DAB/Internet radios. Maybe you can get hold of any cheap “transistor radio” model, those are normally in price range of 25-30€. But, they are somewhat bigger than one from your link. Then again, you can always take it out of it’s case, electronics inside is prety small.
