Running latest HA 2025.3 on RPI 5
Integrating folder platform.
Question : is there a refresh of file_list when a file is added or removed from the target directory ?
I tried, but file_list doesn’t seem to e refreshed.

I had honestly never heard of the folder integration until you mentioned it.

Looked it up and it’s ancient and not really popular (you’re one of only 5 people who use it).

Nonetheless, what you’re describing seems more suited for the folder watcher integration. Again, I had never heard of it, but the description makes it sound like it fits your use case better

You’re right. I dropped this option.
Instead I’ve an option with a mix of shell script to prepare a file with the list of files, sorted as I needed. The shell script is launched by the command_line integration and I get the list of files as an array at Home assistant level.
