Hi all,
I have a query with the energy panel data I’d be grateful of some help with. I have just had the following installed:-
- FoxESS KH7 inverter
- 8.8kWp solar array
- Fox ESS 10kWh battery
- Waveshare RS485 to Eth (B) gateway
I’m using FosESS - Modbus v1.13.0 integration and so far everything seems to be functioning correctly. There has been little sun since it was commissioned so the battery is discharging to its min SoC at 20% then slowly charging from the grid to 25%, before discharging again. What I’m struggling to understand is that the numbers don’t record any charge going into the battery, but quite a lot going out. For example on the 19th Jan, the battery started the day at 24% and ended it at 21% but logged 0.9kWh charge and 4.7kWh discharge. Today there is no charge logged but the SoC has been up and down as it charges from the grid (see below). This makes it look like it has output far more than it possibly could. Obviously the charge is coming from the grid but can anybody explain why HA or Fox doesn’t log this? The outcome is that the self sufficiency meter is skewed as it’s using the power from the grid used to charge the battery and counting is as self produced.
I’ve also noticed that the Grid value doesn’t match my smart meter readings, which are around 0.7kWh greater, which will again skew the overall stats.
Can anybody explain what’s going on here or if I can get the numbers to reflect the grid charge?
Secondly, when I try to set up the charge scheduler lovelace card, there is no device in the drop down. As said, Modbus seems to be working properly but I can’t set a charge time. Any ideas?
Many thanks,
Phil
