Fresh Hassio install not finding component addons

Fresh install on Raspberry Pi 3b. I’m trying to add the Modbus addon but it is not showing up when I search for it in the add-on store. Actually nothing from core/homeassistant/components at dev · home-assistant/core · GitHub is showing up although I add the repository (GitHub - home-assistant/core: 🏡 Open source home automation that puts local control and privacy first.). The official and community add-ons are visible and can be installed. How do I find the Modbus add-on?

In the log i see this error, not sure if it is related:

20-02-16 07:46:48 ERROR (MainThread) [hassio.utils.json] Can’t read json from /data/addons/git/9e7b8c66/repository.json: [Errno 2] No such file or directory: ‘/data/addons/git/9e7b8c66/repository.json’
20-02-16 07:46:48 WARNING (MainThread) [hassio.store.data] Can’t read repository information from /data/addons/git/9e7b8c66/repository.json

Integrations (previously known as components) aren’t add-ons

Search for the integration here and then follow the docs to configure it.
