Frient Keypad - Red LED when disarming through HA Zigbee Home Automation

Hi

I just got a Frient Keypad to use with Alarmo.

I have been able to get it working in priciple with automations setting the states etc however it’s having an odd issue where if I set it to “Disarmed” through HA and Zigbee. The status shows as disarmed in the controls screen but the keypad hardware flashes to green… stays there for a while then switches back to red “armed” (it still shows as disarmed as it’s state in HA)

if I disarm with the keypad itself the LED stays green

Has anyone seen this before or could help point me in the right direction to resolve it? Thanks!

Edit: Just tested and it happens the other way too… if I arm it via HA the LED flashes red for a moment… then just goes back to green (despite the state in HA showing as Armed)

Are you using ZHA or Zigbee2MQTT?

I tried looking at zigbee2mqtt but am I right that I can’t use them side by side with the same zigbee dongle so I’d need to migrate all my existing ones over

Correct. It was more to let people know what you are using as the fixes are different.

ZHA: custom quirk

Z2M: external device handler

I have the same issue and I am using ZHA. @tom_l, where can i find the custom quirk?
