Frigate card settings suggestion for reducing tablet load when view is hidden

My Lenovo Tab 9 running fully kiosk is still running slowly, sometimes non-responsive and needs re-booting. There are no unneeded apps on the tablet. Memory shows over 2,000 mb free, and storage 45,000 mb free. Latest version of the stock ROM and latest version of Fully Kiosk browser and latest version of Home Assistant running HAOS on Intel NUC.

On the tablet I have a single dashboard with 8 views. One is the weather view, Alarmo keypad, Music Assistant, Blinds, Shopping card, Custom Frigate card with 4 cameras, HVAC card and one last entity card for Config / Overrides / Monitoring etc.

So here is my question. I’m trying to reduce the strain on the tablet CPU. I’m looking for suggestions regarding the Frigate card settings to make sure that the cameras are dormant, NOT STREAMING, unless I select the view containing the Frigate card.

Thanks for reading.

i think you need a google coral

*use sub-stream for you cameras
*if you using frigate card dont use live stream for useless cameras ,

is better if you use an automation to populate a image card with the snapshot of your camera when (motion, dog, person, cat, bird, car etc) that having a live view all the time

the google coral will reduce your gpu on you server, and in your tablet or wall panel use your minimal

A coral only helps with object detection resource usage on the host server, not client

Does the usage go away when the advanced camera card is removed?

that is what i said
