Frigate HA Integration doesn’t work

Hello Community,

I’m running Frigate in Home Assistant (HA Core installation). I’ve set up a separate user for Frigate in the MQTT broker. Everything works perfectly with four cameras.

However, the Frigate Home Assistant integration isn’t working as expected. I was able to start the integration and can see the video streams, but the entities don’t detect motion, even though motion is correctly recognized within Frigate itself. Additionally, the control buttons aren’t functioning.

Does anyone know what might be causing this, or how I can fix it?

Thanks in advance!

Hey @User42526,
That sounds frustrating, especially since Frigate itself is detecting motion properly. Have you double-checked that the MQTT topics for Frigate events are correctly set up and that the Home Assistant MQTT integration is subscribed to those? Also, make sure the Frigate integration has the correct user permissions if you’re using a dedicated MQTT user. Sometimes restarting both HA and Frigate after setting things up helps sync the entities properly.

I cant even get the streams to show on the dashboard and they rarely even load. Any help or insight on how to get the streams would be very help full. I got the go2rtc streams working and i have actually put the URL into frigate but still doesn’t load the streams for some odd reason.
