Fronius Wattpilot

Yes you have a point here - entity did not exist yet.
I added the entity (together with other phase switch configuration entites) in just release version: Release v0.2.8 · mk-maddin/wattpilot-HA

Please note that the entity is a configuration entity and disabled by default (as changes only take affect if you have phase_switch set to auto.

Now I’m confused. For me, the phase select entity has existed in all pre-current versions of the integration (disabled by default perhaps).

@sora0kuro was initially asking for an entity to adjust the “phase switch level” for phase switch type of “auto”. You are referencing the entity for phase_switch type only

Aaah, thanks

I have installation with 3 Fronius Inwerters in chain, one smartmeter and one Wattpilot. I want to add another Wattpilot and using it to charge from surplus energy. This is not possible via official Fronius app. Can I add it via HA and it will works correctly ? Anyone tried that ??

I have connected two wattpilot to one inverter/smart meter…
so why do you think this not be possible in the official App? any error message you receive in the app? have you installed latest firmware on your inverter and wattpilot devices?

the integration can handle multiple wattpilot - independently if they are connected or not to any inverter

i have only one Wappitilot so far. Offical app can handle only one wattpilot with surplus charging, i want to use two wattpilot with surplus charging function on both. Both get data about surplus from HA or one from Fronius one from HA. Question is did you test that scenario ??

Offical app can handle only one wattpilot with surplus charging

Thats not correct - wattpilot app can handle multiple Charters AND multiple chargers can use the same inverter for surplus

Both get data about surplus from HA or one from Fronius one from HA.

Both from from Fronius inverter/Smart meter.

Wow great news thnx, on official documents or FAQ they say only one is possible from surplus.

hello,
i am still having the Addon version 0.1.9 version in Home assistant.
i saw there is 0.2.8 out but how to update?

Hi. Did you install it with HACS? In this case the update option is shown directly in the hacs integration.

in Hacs it is not shown

i removed (uninstalled wattpilot)
HOASS restart than installed it via this link Link to Integrations: add integration – My Home Assistant

but again old version

i was adding it again - sorry maybe my fault

  1. Click on the 3 dots in the top right corner.
  2. Select “Custom repositories”
  3. Add the URL to the repository.
  4. Select the correct type.
  5. Click the “ADD” button.

In HACS the integration is called “Fronius Wattpilot-HA”
If you still can’t find it with this name (if I remember correct I had the same problem when I installed it the first time…), try to add the github link as a custom repository.

you did not reinstall - this is just a reconfiguration.

see:
GitHub - mk-maddin/wattpilot-HA: This is a custom component to allow control of Fronius Wattpilot wallbox/electro vehicle charging devices in Homeassistant.

As exactly connect the go-e is exactly the same electronics.

I wrote that before…i will write again.

There is no fronius product the wattpilot…is go-e product.-

So basically you spend all of you hours and hours for something all ready run on home assistant perfect.

weil while you might be correct from electronics (never opened both and compared their inner myself to be really sure) there definitely are differences from firmware side.

I compared both as I own GO-e Charger, too (which I btw have connected via the integration you just linked  )
Some settings not existing on Go-E firmware(e.g. Ohmpilot threshold; Fronius Cloud connection) others do not exist on Fronius side.

So there is a point in handling them separately

But as this topic is about fronius; not Go-E I would kindly ask you to please move Go-E realted content & discussion to separate topic. Thanks
