Full Installation of HAOS, but no 'ADD-ON' menu available for (New User)

Hi Everyone,

I am completely new to Home Assistant to stick with me

As I go through the setup of HAOS, there is a continual reference to an ‘Add-On’ Menu available under settings?

I do not have this option. I have tried 3 different browsers, clearing caches etc, but it never appears. Then I was concerned I installed an incorrect version of HAOS, but I have not. I can confirm the following:

  • Installation methodHome Assistant OS
  • Core 2026.9.0
  • Supervisor 2026.08.0
  • Operating System18.2
  • Frontend 20260826.4

I also checked I am as a User the ‘Owner’ and I can confirm I am!

Can anyone help please, tell me why this mysterious ‘Add-On’ Menu is not showing for me please?

Thanks in advance
Gary

The Add-Ons name has been changed to Apps in the recent past. If you see Apps, you’re good.

It’s the ‘Admin’ role that handles access to certain controls and I think that by default the Owner is an Admin.

Im not sure you have followed i.e the official Installation, on-boarding and terminology , etc. Docs, BookMark these Docs as you need this
Below is the url for the latest ,
And try to avoid ( Or Totally Skip ! ) YouTube and these kinds, as those are hardly uptodate , even few month old is/can be considered outdated.
( Many Tutorials out there is like comparing a car from the 2000, with Todays :joy: )
( This you will also understand when you get familiar with the UI, & Read the official Docs )
