Fully Kiosk Browser

Has anyone been seeing this issue lately? In the last few weeks, I’m seeing this ‘Android Webview render process unresponsive…’ error on my two Fire Tablets (8" & 10) with FKB. In addition, icon images won’t load and buttons/dashboard unresponsive. Thoughts?

Did some more testing and may be related to Fully Kiosk Browser itself. I’m running version 1.57.1 and when I exit and access Home Assistant via the Amazon Silk browser, it’s flawless. No delay and everything loads. What is the difference between FKB and Silk that would cause this?

Yep, it happens every now and then on my old samsung S5s tablet. I think it could be related with webview also. But i did try to install different versions of webview (dev, beta, prod…), but there’s not much difference. It happens rarely, then fully restarts and all works again.
But i notice this happening back with many fully versions, so if it’s fully’s fault it’s a long one, not a recent version.

Greetings everyone, something unusual is happening and I can’t figure out if it’s something I can change.

I installed Fully Kiosk on an Android 13 tablet. I set the screensaver (a link to a Dakboard page) to activate after 15 seconds, and the screen to turn off after 5 minutes of inactivity. Both the screensaver and the screen are deactivated by motion.

I’ve noticed that after a consistent interval of 9 minutes, the screensaver switch (in the Home Assistant integration) gets turned off. This causes the screensaver (and thus the screen) to turn back on after 15 seconds.

In other words, this cycle keeps repeating:
15 seconds → screensaver activates → 5 minutes → screen turns off → 9 minutes → screensaver switch turns off → 15 seconds → screensaver switch turns back on → screen turns back on.

Does anyone know what might be causing this?
If I set the screensaver timer to 0 (i.e. disable it), this doesn’t happen and the screen stays off.
