Fully Kiosk not launching at boot on my Android tablet

I purchased a TCL Tab10 Android tablet to use as a dashboard device in my kitchen. I’ve installed Fully Kiosk and I can run my dashboard when I start it manually. I can’t get Fully Kiosk to start automatically when i boot the tablet. I tried to set Fully Kiosk as the bootup app in Settings but I can’t change that setting from the default of “Launcher”. I have the “Launch on Boot” option enabled in the Fully Kiosk settings.

I loaded Autostart+ from the Play Store and told it to start Fully Kiosk at boot up but that did not work.

I’ve seen suggestions that there might be Background Execution or Battery Use restrictions set by the TCL version of the Android OS but I haven’t found any specific solution.

Has anyone out there had this problem and solved it? I appreciate any suggestions.

IDK if you have a plus license, but enabling kiosk mode, should replace the default launcher.
If that still does not get you going, elevate from device admin to device owner and provision the device.

After taking a break and then doing some more googling I found the solution. I somehow missed the “Kiosk Mode (Plus)” page in the Fully Kiosk setting. Once I enabled Kiosk Mode and set up a PIN to exit Kiosk Mode, I was prompted to make Fully Kiosk Browser the home application for the tablet.

Now Fully Kiosk comes up when I boot the tablet!
