I recently came from SmartThings. One thing that I miss is the garage door having four states. Open, Opening, Closing, and Closed. The garage door cover only seems to have two so when I hit the button to close it, I can’t tell if I was successful in pressing the button on the dashboard correctly or not until enough time has passed when the door actually reaches the closed state.
Is there something like this or has anyone made anything that will work like that?
My garage door still has all four of those states. I’m using the myQ integration, but there are others that do the same thing. I have my icon change labels and color depending on which of the four states it’s in (mostly because I can ).
(I’m actually still using the SmartThings as my Z-Wave and Zigbee controller (using the SmartThings integration) and that’s working so well that I’m not really motivated to get a dongle and drop the ST hub entirely yet.)
