Hello there,
I’ve set up a Gardena 9V Bluetooth Valve and used an ESP32 as a Bluetooth Proxy to connect it to Home Assistant. It works perfectly fine. I’ve now also attached a Gardena Sensor to the Valve (the cable based one). It seems to provide a value randomly (but like only 3 times in the last week). I even poured a lot of water on it to see if it would react, but it did not. Some time later the spike came, but it just went to 100% and then down to 0% again and also not at the time I added the water.
My question is: has anybody been able to get somewhat reliable sensor data (I don’t need real time, that would kill the battery anyhow)? But is there a way to get it like once a day for the last 24h? Or has anybody managed to get the “stop due to sensor” logic to work? I mean, that I start the watering for 30 Minutes, but once the sensor reaches 80% it should stop no matter how much time is left.
If this just doesn’t work the way I want, do you have any recommendation for other sensors that will provide good data and not need new batteries every month?
Any help with this would be greatly appreciated!
