Gardena Bluetooth not connecting 9v Valve

I purchased a few Gardena 9v Bluetooth valves and setup a Bluetooth proxy.

The valve is discovered but every time I try to setup the valve, I get “Failed to connect” and get no other error messages.

I’ve tried to set it up in multiple different configurations such as in pairing mode without being setup on iOS app , pairing mode while being linked to iOS app, not in pairing mode while linked to iOS app, but all result in failure.

Initially I suspected it to be my Bluetooth proxy (which it could still be) but when looking at the advertisement monitor in the Bluetooth integration I can see it advertising.

I also have the valve updated to the latest firmware 1.7.23.29

Any help would be greatly appreciated

I have the exact same problem.

I’ve been trying to get mine connected for a few weeks now. I’ve tried different BT proxies (ESPHome, Shelly, USB dongle). Nothing seems to work.

Well, i’ve connected with ESPC3-super mini. The Gardena integration recognised it immediatly after manualy pushing the button on the back of the valve. Then you are able to give orders to the valve. But after a few minutes the valves diappears from HA, leaving a orange dot which indicates: not available. When I pushed the button again the orange bullet diappears and I can use the integration. So the problem is how do we make the integration wake the valve from within the integration? Any ideas?
