I’m hoping I’m doing something wrong. I have a HA that works fine. Its connected to my Google Assistance and I’ve set up a Scene in HA to open my garage door and then have it as a Routine in my Google Assistance. Works without issues.
Recently started using Gemini and like that I can have multiple things done at once as ad-hoc. But when I ask to run my “Open Garage” routine it just loops through a message on the screen saying “you used a command to start an automation that can be edited in the Home App”.
Am I missing something or is this just Gemini being limited
Never got a notification about this… I have HA installed on a NEC and installed Google AI on it. My assist is configured to be that with some text-to-speech etc. And yes, they are set to be exposed.
I was playing around with it a bit today again. My garage door is a Tuya integration to Home Assistant. I’ve set up a Script that opens the garage door which is called “Open Garage Door” - (This is due to if I say Open Garage google would ask for a pin which I don’t want to say every time.)
Then I have an automation on Google Home (on my device) set up with Open Garage door, it then triggers the script and everything works. With Gemini it keeps looping until today when I figured out if I say Open Garage Door Scene it works fine. Problem is I don’t really want to say Scene every time lol. Haven’t found a way around that.
