Generac API integration

I’ve seen the genmon integration out there but, from what I read, it’s looked like I would need to install an additional pi on the generator itself. I’m wondering if anyone knows of an integration to the the mobile link api that generac offers? I have my internet on UPS so unless the main node goes out to then I would still be able to monitor everything. Any insight? Thanks.

Ask in the existing thread, people who know will see it there.

I would love to see this as well. There is/was a Homebridge plugin for MobileLink, but I think Generac changed their API and it no longer works.

Same here. About to pull the trigger on a genset and was leaning towards a Generac, but may have to go with a Kholer for HA integration. Hopefully someone can figure this one out.

I am hoping that there is SOME kind of tie with the app they have to work with Home Assistant. I don’t see why there wouldn’t be at this point. I will have to do some more digging, I suppose.

Looks like there is a workaround to work with the API in openHAB. I wonder if anyone had a chance to look into it.

Just jumping in here. I just moved into a new house with a Generac and had the occasion to wonder if it got triggered last night due to a short power drop out.

Very disappointing to find out that the vendor of my $10k device wants $5/month so I can monitor it.

As part of the new house I’ve stood up a Home Assistant and the first thought in my mind was, can I monitor the Generac through HA?

cheers,

chris

You can add this to HACS. It isn’t a local API, but it seems to work pretty well.

You guys are awesome!

Well the integration(s) are broken.

Both give me this error:

Any ideas on how to move forward?

Thanks!
