Generic sensor. This is the default and doesn’t need to be set

Upgraded to the latest version on my PI.

Home Assistant 2023.8.1
Supervisor 2023.08.1
Operating System 10.4
Frontend 20230802.0 - latest

Under sensor:

  • None: Generic sensor. This is the default and doesn’t need to be set.

How do I address this?

- platform: generic
   name: Batch Protect Image
   still_image_url: https://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:8123/local/camera/CamImage.jpg

and

#camera:
  - platform: generic
    name: Garage CCTV CH1
   still_image_url: http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/jpg/image.jpg
   stream_source: rtsp://admin:[email protected]:554/channel=1&stream=0.sd

There is no Generic sensor platform… The portion of the docs you quoted:

None: Generic sensor. This is the default and doesn’t need to be set.

pertains to the the available options for a sensor’s Device Class.

Thanks

I guess my question is how to now handle CCTV camera or image that now doesnt have a device class within sensor:

Example still_image_url or stream_source ?

Devices and Service we see the Generic Camera so hence why after remarking my entries out of the configuration.yaml they still work but dont see the still_image_url but assume its also there?

You make us guess as well

That question doesn’t make sense.
You’re working with camera or sensor.
You obviously configure a generic camera.
What sensor are you talking about?

Sorry have a NVR that I take feeds from and until I upgraded it was using the - platform: generic post upgrade I remarked out then add the generic camera which is picking up on these feeds and now the image as well so I have got to the end point.
