Good day, everyone!

Please explain the logic of presets in Generic Thermostat. I created one and looks like it is switching presets by it’s own way (sleep preset). Was trying to find anything in “help”, but didn’t find any explanation.

Please assist, may be i am wrong?…

If so, how the presets are controlled? by Automation?

You use the action climate.set_preset_mode in automations, scripts, or dashboard actions.

That means presets are not controlled without Automation or scripts or action, right?

Correct, the preset should not change unless an action is executed.
