I manage my parents’ and my HAs. Is it possible to get some stats off their HA (eg: how many lights are on, temperatures etc) without having to log out of mine, log into theirs, check, log out of theirs and back into mine every time?
We both have remote access with Nabu Casa, but it’s a pain changing serves and I don’t want my iPhone or iPad’s sensors to start appearing on their setup (which is what happens if I change to their server using my iPad). I’d rather have a dashboard that reflects some of their entities.
Oh, hang on. When I wrote ‘remote’ I meant at a different physical location (not on the sane network). When setting this up, there was no mention of the Nabu Casa account or a url to the other network so I don’t think that will work.
I do not use it myself but it is called remote_homeassistant for a reason. You should be able to point it to a nabu casa instance using a secure connection to your remote url.
I was quite premature in my post above and, having spent some time reading about it, have come back to edit my post above and correct my error (I won’t do that now as you post would appear weird to anyone else reading this).
I can’t get it to work though so have raised an issue in the remote_home-assistant GitHub repo.
All the web hooks listed refer to specific devices that have HA installed on them (iPhone, iPad etc). How would that prevent the error I am getting in my logs which is:
2022-11-11 10:05:58.151 ERROR (MainThread) [custom_components.remote_homeassistant.config_flow] import of xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.iu.nabu.casa failed
…the ‘xxxx’ is my edit for privacy.
My issue is here.
As I said I do not use this integration, but I figured this integration might use webhooks (I thought I read that, but in fact it said websockets). If there are none listed then this is not the case, so a webhook being disabled is not the problem that you’re facing.
