How come I can’t use a media player in Music Assistant that is configured in Home Assistant and works outside of Music Assistant but MA won’t show it?

Yes but I think I am running into * Only players that support play_media can be used, other players will be filtered out" I am trying to use a RaspiAudio Muse Luxe. It works outside of MA in HA one song at a time.
What ha integration does that use? I guess that depends what firmware you are using.
ESPHome is where I loaded and the flashed it so it resides in the ESHome integration
I would use the squeezebox firmware. Squeezebox has the best music assistant support of any player Player Support - Music Assistant
So I flashed it as a Squeezelite-ESP32 and I still can’t get MA to recognize it but it is in HA as SlimProto (Squeezebox players) I guess I am not smart enough figure out all the ends and outs of MA

I keep getting Unable to start the Slimproto server - is one of the required TCP ports already taken ? I am using 3483 for slimproto port CLI port 9090 JASON RPC as 9000
Don’t run the slimproto HA integration and MA’s slimproto at the same time. Disable it in HA.
I disabled and same thing port is in use
Try rebooting after you disabled it.
I did that first thing but what doesn’t make sense is the netstat
tcp 0 0 0.0.0.0:3483 0.0.0.0:* LISTEN
I stand buy one of my first replies “I guess I am not smart enough figure out all the ends and outs of MA” then I will add slimproto is above me also. All I wanted was cheap speaker for my workshop because I didn’t want any thing expensive out in the dust and hazards. I guess Bose or Sona that work well with MA. I guess I am done.

Everyone thanks for your help. I backed into the fix but I don’t know at what point it was fixed. I re-flashed the ESPHome Squeezelite by RASPIAUDIO (it still wouldn’t load into MA). I deleted MA beta and it still wouldn’t load into MA. I then rebooted HA and it still wouldn’t load. I stopped and restarted MA the one that came from the integration that I had going in parallel to the beta and It loaded with no errors, no more “Unable to start the Slimproto server - is one of the required TCP ports already taken” and now works in MA.
