Getting HA to work with wallpaper engine

I’m trying to display a Home Assistant dashboard via wallpaper engine. Initially, this seemed to work great, I just clicked “change wallpaper”, then “Open from URL” and it was good to go! When I returned to my PC, I couldn’t actually interact with the dashboard that was shown there. In fact, I couldn’t click on anything in HA in my main Firefox window either.
Rebooting fixed Firefox, but not wallpaper engine. Other websites seem to work fine, it’s JUST Home Assistant that I cannot interact with. I suspect this may have something to do with browser-mod, which I do have installed, but I’m stumped.

If anyone has any clues/ideas, I’d greatly appreciate em!

Update: Setting the wallpaper to another site that has a link to my HA instance works. From there I can click into HA, then click within HA for about one second before it stops recognizing my clicks… Very odd.

Setting the wallpaper URL to the home assistant demo also seems to work fine… So this must be something to do with my instance, maybe browser-mod. Not sure what specifically the issue is though

Can confirm, browser-mod seems to be the issue. Disabling its integration fixed it. Seems to maybe cause issues with some other single-site browsers as well. I’ll post a question on their Github.

Browser Mod works fine with LS Panel web link and Fully Kiosk. As discussed on GitHub its likely to do with media_player and Wallpaper engine does not support audio.

Just in case someone comes across this post in the future, the issue was indeed with the media player from Browser Mod. And the solution was to find the media player for Wallpaper Engine’s browser and disable the entity in HA!
