I have the glances add-on running. I’m trying to install the integration and it’s asking for username and password. Why does it need a username and what username and password? I’ve tried “glances” with a blank password as in the glances add-in configuration file. I’ve tried using various host names: localhost, homeassistant, 192.168.1.232, and the one from the glances configuration file. It doesn’t like any of them. WTF is this so unclear as to what is expected?
Did you ever figure this out? I have the same questions.
No. I’m using a different integration, System Monitor. Life’s too short to waste time on integrations that don’t work, when there are alternatives. All I wanted was CPU temperature.
I was running into this problem, too. I had been using glances for many years on my Home Assistant computer using the ‘localhost’ but when reviewing the logs for the add-on service I realized that it was using port 61209 instead of 61208. When I used 61209 and no auth, it hooked right up! ![]()
