Hi,
I’ve just bought a Gledopto Zigbee LED controller GL-C-201p and am trying to set it up with HA such that it drives four separate white LED strips. I’ve attached the controller to a 24v power supply, attached four LED strips to the controller, set the controller to ‘Dimmer’ mode (red light on the body of the device) and found the device using the Zigbee integration in HA. This gives me a single switch to turn all four strips at the same time. They all come on very nicely - very bright and can be turned on and off but … that’s it. I can’t control them individually nor can I dim them in any way. It looks to my eyes as if the device is just turning the strips on to full power and turning them off entirely, and nothing else.
I think that the error may be in something I am doing and my ignorance of all things HA could be the problem. I have integrated the device in using Zigbee but am using the standard ‘cards’ to run it. I have seen mention elsewhere of colour cards to make the coloured capabilities work. This isn’t what I want to do - I want to control four plain white LED strips individually - but I wonder if I am missing something somewhere; possibly an integration or a card.
If anyone can help me out using small and simple words then I’d be most grateful. I have googled but come to nothing. There’s lots of information about using the device with a Hue Bridge, but while I don’t have one of those there are people who say that one of these isn’t necessary. There’s stuff out there about using a Tuya integration but my experience of Tuya is such that I’d rather avoid this if I can. The Gledopto instructions talk about using a Phone App, but they don’t seem to have an app to download (Android).
If anyone can help a numpty then I’d love to hear!
Thanks.
