Trying to decide between two cheap WiFi weather stations before I buy, both use Tuya-based apps:
GoGEN ME 3565 SMART - pairs with the Tuya Smart app, but GoGEN’s own spec sheet says no HomeKit/Alexa/Google/custom integration. link
EMOS GoSmart E8610 - same idea but also lists Smart Life/Lidl Home compat alongside Tuya. link
Has anyone actually gotten temp/humidity out of either one into HA (official Tuya integration or LocalTuya)? My worry is that “works with Tuya app” just means it shows the 5-day forecast pulled from the internet, and the WiFi connection never actually publishes the sensor readings as a proper datapoint - so LocalTuya would just show nothing useful.
Would rather find out now than buy one and discover it’s basically a dumb display with wifi bolted on for the forecast widget.
I suggest an ecowitt or an ecowitt that shelly sells. Great integration and things just work.

Random Tuya ones, I highly discourage… Tuya has trouble making a lightbulb work, I would not try a complicated thing like that.
