Hi,
I had the “old” Assistant running, and (after having fixed several glitches - new OAuth mechanisms) now the “new” version 2.1 is running as well. Pleased to say that it now supports non-English languages.
Problem: The output (through the Raspi’s audio jack) is very low / quiet. Before you start telling me “turn it up”, here’s what I tried:
- Went into the GA docker image, and used alsamixer to turn the volume all the way up - not much of a change.
- On the same raspi, I have the Mopidy Hass.io add-on installed and running. The mopidy volume control is turned down to about 1/10th of the max - and yet it produces a louder signal than Google Assistant in its loudest setting. Do I have to mention that it also uses the same 3.5mm jack and the same active speakers?
Any idea why the GA docker instance produces so much less volume than the mopidy one? Any ideas what to test or change?
Thanks,
Anton
