Hi everyone,
I’m using Home Assistant OS 2026.3 with an active Nabu Casa subscription. The cloud connection (remote UI) is online, Google Home is linked (“Home Assistant Cloud by Nabu Casa” shows up under Works with Google and my entities sync without errors), and I created a voice assistant with a German pipeline in the Cloud settings.
Problem: On my Nest Hub (2nd gen) I can’t start the conversation. Every invocation – “Hey Google, talk to Home Assistant”, “Hey Google, sprich mit Home Assistant”, “Hey Google, sprich mit Jarvis” – is rejected with Google’s default reply “Sorry, I didn’t understand that.” No conversation window opens and nothing is logged on my Home Assistant instance. If I use Assist directly inside Home Assistant, everything works, so only the Google skill seems to be affected.
Things I’ve tried:
• Removed and re-added the “Home Assistant Cloud by Nabu Casa” service in Google Home (multiple times).
• Reset Nest Hub, re-linked account, ensured Remote UI is online.
• Added/removing exposed entities (Google sees the dummy helper, so the sync works).
Is anyone else seeing the same issue or knows whether Nabu Casa has to reset something on their side? Any pointers are appreciated!
Thanks!
