Google cast integration is missing 2 wifi points for some reason

Hello all,

Can anyone give me any ideas of things to look for based on the topic subject? When I go into the google home app. Both devices seem to be functioning properly based on the information on the app.

I don’t really know what to look for.

I also tried to add both of the points with the manual entry method of the integration and they still didn’t populate within home assistant. Thank you all for any ideas/ input.

would advice to be a bit more specific. What wifi devices are you talking about and why do you expect them to be casting devices. Wifi points to me are acces points, which dont do anyting with casting afaik.

Sorry. They are nest wifi hubs that have the speaker built into them, I have 4 total wifi points, 2 showed up in the cast integration, 2 did not. They are all the same device. I should be seeing 4 is my belief.

Are they connected to the same WIFI SSID that HA device is connected to?

and check you network segmentation, are the other hubs through a different part of your network. igmp and multicast , mdns and all of these have efffect on casting devices

@Sir_Goodenough Yes, this is a certainty as they are wifi points of the same wifi network.

@checking12
I can say I have modified no defaults of the point/ router device from its initial parameters from the factory. We are starting to talk out of my knowledge limits.
I’m not familiar with these terms igmp, multicast, mdns. I am looking inside the google home app at the moment exploring anything regarding these terms.
