got this automation (and a few others) just followed the tutorial online and it worked perfect for weeks.
But since 2 weeks it doesn;t talk anymore… i hear the pop on sound and then silence.

Generally if it was working OK, and now you only hear the sounder, it is because something with your external_url setup is not happy and the cloud things do not have access to return the mp3 files. It returns nothing so it plays nothing.
Search the forum here this issue is brought multiple times a week from people changing their ssl access and using pihole or adguard or turning off nabu-casa external access or a bunch of other things. All of a sudden a day later they notice the problem you mention and have no idea what caused it.
i notice that sometimes google dont get a response , and also when a power failure happend google AI dont reload ,
so i made an automation to reload the integration on boot and if something is wrong,
just do and
homeassistant.reload_config_entry
i have restarted home assistant multiple times… so then it would return as well
