Google Nest showing Unavailable

I followed this and paid the $5 USD to integrate Google Nest. After many clicks and many pages it seems I have linked it all well but in dashboard I see “Unavailable” for Humidity and Temperature.

I did the following as per troubleshooting guide:

  • I restarted the Nest and it didn’t help.
  • I did Reload of the device in HaOS and it didn’t help.
  • I changed the room for the Nest from Basement to Attic in Nest app and it didn’t help.

Things to note:
1- I can not login to https://home.nest.com/ using my @gmail.com account which is associated with my Nest. I don’t remember if I migrated the account to Nest.com or it is still with @gmail.com account. However, when I try to login using Nest app, it does login using @gmail.com account.

2- My Nest app shows three different Homes. Two have no devices in them and only has. I think I created these Homes before. I am not able to delete them in Nest app. It is asking me to go to Google Home app and in Settings delete these Home but there I can not see them to delete them. Regardless, this may not be the issue.

Where in the whole clustermess of the guide, can I find if the project I created on Google account is actually attached to my only active Nest and not to my old homes which don’t have a Nest any more?

In the logs after all the successful established connections I get these:
2026-01-07 10:47:19.622 DEBUG (MainThread) [google_nest_sdm.subscriber_client] Sending streaming pull request (acking 0 messages)

[google_nest_sdm.streaming_manager] Disconnected from event stream: API error when streaming iterator: 503 The service was unable to fulfill your request. Please try again. [code=8a75]

I also see this but probably not important:

E0000 00:00:1767800923.065116 67 alts_credentials.cc:93] ALTS creds ignored. Not running on GCP and untrusted ALTS is not enabled.

I was able to select the correct Home at linking stage and that fixed it.
