I’ve replaced my inverter and battery setup with a new, much larger one but it’s from a different brand. I’ve got that integrated into hass and it’s working great.
The old inverter is now completely gone (as in, removed from my house, no longer on the LAN). But the old inverters integration is still installed because it provides entities that have historical power generation/usage data.
Can I remove the integration that it used to pull data but without losing any historical data? I’ve been using it for 4 years so that’s a lot of data to lose.
I did search this and ask the LLMs but there’s so much conflicting information out there and I know that retention of historical data has been a pain point in HA for some time now, so I’m here hoping to hear it straight from the horses mouth, so to speak.
