Gremlins in the system? Automations triggered for no reason

I’m going to throw this thing out the window. In the past month my automations are being triggered for no reason. My doors don’t open, yet lights are turning on. Sound notifications are being played. I check the traces and sure enough, the trigger is there but why??? I check apple home and the doors etc. don’t show opened or unlocked. They’re also showing locked or closed in Home Assistant but why the trigger???

Anyone else dealing with this? My wife is starting to hate this too. I might just have to rip it all out and go back to Apple Home to manage everything. emphasized text

Computers only do what you ask them to do, so it must be somewhere in your code.

What kind of devices, and without your automations we can’t tell the reason.

Pure speculation, but this sounds a lot to me like sensors that periodically go unknown or unavailable in HA and automation triggers that aren’t setup to handle this scenario.

Send us an exact automation and people will tell you, otherwise this thread is totally useless.
Also you should see when/why they have been triggered in the automation and why or what the trigger might be.

Yeah you have a couple of tools to work out what is going on, automation traces as mentioned above and the Logbook panel has context information too, e.g.
