I would like to buy an interior surveillance camera for the future baby’s room first and then for the living room thereafter.
I have a Nas Synology too.
I spotted these 3 models. And I don’t know which model to choose in the end.
Eufy Security 2K
Imou Ranger 2C
Reolink E1 Pro
Normally they all support the Onvif and RTSP protocol.
Of course, I want to be able to integrate the camera on Home Assistant (installed in Docker on my Nas).
However, I have a few questions:
- How do you integrate a camera on Home Assistant? (Onvif integration or via code in configuration.yaml)
- Is it mandatory / necessary to use the cloud of each brand?
- Can we record each motion detection on the NAS (with Surveillance Station) rather than the cloud?
- What is motionEye, facebox?
- Any advice on your own uses / configurations?
