Hi everyone,

I built a Home Assistant custom integration and add-on for GWM vehicles.

It lets you monitor and control your car from Home Assistant. The add-on connects to your GWM account, and the integration creates native HA entities for the vehicle.

What it supports:

  • Battery SOC, range, odometer, charging state, plug state, cabin temperature, tire pressure/temperature, locks, windows, A/C, and location
  • Climate control for A/C
  • Door lock/unlock
  • Close windows button
  • Remote command status sensor
    * Add-on discovery by the integration
    * Add-on Web UI with health and latest cached vehicle summary

This is unofficial and not affiliated with GWM. Regional services and firmware may differ, so feedback and testing from other GWM owners would be very helpful.

Update: More GWM models and regions now supported

Hi everyone,

A quick update: this project originally started as an integration for the GWM ORA, but feedback and testing have shown that other GWM vehicle models work as well. I’ve therefore updated the project and documentation to refer to GWM vehicles more generally.

Regional support has also been expanded. The integration and add-on now support:

  • Europe (EU)
  • Australia/New Zealand
  • Russia

If you use a different GWM model, I’d be very interested to hear which vehicle and region you tested, and which sensors or remote commands work for you.

Another update to the community:

  • The integration now also supports the 2 variations of Mainland China.
  • This is now a stand-alone integration, without any addon/app/docker/mqtt. Simple integration.
