Good afternoon people! All good?
My first post here on the forum, and to thank you for the infinite automation ideas we have here, and to ask for your suggestions.
I’m in the process of automating my washing machine, a simple Philco PLR10B but one of those front ones that made the process a little difficult, I’ll explain why. Today, I have a WiFi smart plug connected to this machine that I used to monitor its energy process and know, through consumption, which stage the washing process is in. So far so good, however, the amount of energy has varied a lot during the beginning of the wash, where it is filling with water, and it is an extremely important process for me to know that the wash has started.
So, I’ve been thinking about fitting some kind of water flow sensor directly to the 1/2 tap that feeds water into the machine, so I know exactly when the machine is filling, the theory is beautiful, but I haven’t found any Tuya device that do this, only those garden irrigation devices or solenoid valves that do much more than I need and are expensive, remembering that I need the device to be Tuya so that I can collect the data in Home Assistant, which is my main automation tool today.
Any suggestion?
Thank you guys!
