HA Dashboard - android app closes on it's own

I have Samsung A8 (x200) Android tablet, wall mounted, connected to USB, configured to charge up to 80%, screen set to always on, connected to local WiFi network, running lates HA Android companion app, HA instance is running in the local network.

The app is logged in with a limited permissions user that has access to just one dashboard.
The dashboard is very simple: 1 area card (porch camera and lights), 2 picture entity cards (2 more cameras), and just a few tile cards (locks and doors status).

It works pretty well for almost a day and then randomly closes. Not a single run longer than 24 hours.
Sometimes the dashboard becomes like veeeery slow and non responsive (feels like some background process uses 100% CPU)

How do I debug what exactly is going on there? Is it Samsung issue, or is it HA?

It is hard to catch the exact moment of it happening, There is no errors in HA logs related to this.

Alternatively: if you are running HA dashboard on an always-on android tablet for long time with no issues: please share your make and model

I’m experiencing the same behavior. Have you found a fix yet?

I have the same problem on a Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 2019, using a setup similar to yours. I have tried various configurations and enabling/disabling all kinds of options to no avail.

I previously ran the Home Assistant app on an iPad mini with no such problems. Seems to be an Android issue.

I’m testing now with the Full Kios app. It should restart the app whenever it closes.

Please let me know if that (Full Kiosk) helps.
I could not find a way to debug it on Android, nor fix it, so far…

Any luck running HA dashboard on Android? I’m trying on a Redmi phone. It’s much more stable, but still after few days shuts down HA app.
The new HA companion app has a setting to set the app as Android Home App, but even with that on - after some time my screen is blank again (HA app unloaded)

Same issue here with an Amazon tablet, suddenly just see the Amazon home page. The app is still running in the background though. If I maximise it again, it is very slow responding. I have to force close it and restart the app.

Probably happens once a day at no fixed time or interval
