HA does no longer sync devices with zigbee2mqtt

Hello everyone

OK, so possibly it was stupid to do the major z2m update and the HA 2025.1 update at the same time but here we are. Running on a HA Green with a ZBT-1.

I can still control Zigbee devices (bunch of hue lights) from HA and existing sensor values get updated in HA but newly added (or removed) sensor and remote devices do not propagate from z2m to HA. MQTT Explorer shows z2m at least publish new and removal of devices so my suspicion is there’s something wrong in the HA integration (enable discovery is on, like before when it still worked). So far I found precious little in logs, so not sure where to continue digging…

Grateful for any pointers!

Ok, for some reason z2m 2.0 needs homeassistant: true to be explicitly set now (worked without before)

I updated today and had to roll back as everything went unavailable for me. Thanks for pointing that out!

I’m having this problem but my YAML file already had…

homeassistant:
  enabled: true
  status_topic: homeassistant/status

I’ve restarted HA and Z2M multiple times. I paired a few devices a week or so ago and that added the devices to HA but a device I added today is not adding to HA.

I also noticed that when I change the names of the devices in Z2M it is not changing them in HA, even though I clicked the toggle that says it does it.

I suspect these are related… any idea how to fix?
