HA does not seem to save configuration when I log off

I have HA installed on a micro computer using the “Generic X86-64” image, using this direction (Generic x86-64 - Home Assistant).
Home Assistant 2023.9.2
Supervisor 2023.09.2
Operating System 10.5
Frontend 20230911.0 - latest

I am trying to edit the side bar. I do not want or need the Energy, Map, or History pages. I can edit this so that they are hidden during the current session. But when I log off and log back in they are again on the side bar.

How do I make them stay hidden all the time.

PS. I am a newbie at this. Even though I have been doing home automation for over 30 years with a different system, I am now just trying to change over to HA.

Thanks
GM

The settings are stored as a web browser cookie, not in Home Assistant. So if you have your browser set to clear history every time you close it you will lose your settings.

Ah, I do use Brave and have it set to delete all cookies when i close it.

I’m using the Custom Panel integration to get rid of the session problem.

Thanks for that info. I will bookmark that for later. It is way beyond my abilities right now.
