Hello: I am an HA newbee who is in the process of migrating from Openhab to HA. I have already managed to get many of my devices to work correctly under HA, but I am currently stuck with a problem regarding the Smartthings integration.
Before turning to the particular problem, here are the basics about my HA implementation. I am running HA OS 11.1 (with Core 2023.11.2 and Supervisor 2023.11.3) under Virtual Box on a Windows 10 machine.
The problem I have concerns three termostat devices that happen to be working correctly in the Smartthings phone app, and were also working fine under Openhab. However, when they get imported from Smartthings into HA, their respective components fail to be correctly interpreted jointly as a climate device. The following Google Drive folder includes three screen captures:
The first one, enttitled “HA-device.jpg” shows the page of a heating device named “Convecteur-CdM”. Two of the four entities imported from Smartthings are correctly interpreted as sensors (“capteurs”): the current room temperature read by the thermostat (18.5 C) and the current status of the device (“idle”). However, the other two entities are incorrectly characterized as “diagnostic” rather that as a temperature setpoint (17.5 C) and the currently selected thermostat mode (“heat”). As a result, it looks as if I have no way to set the temperature target or the thermostat mode from the HA side.
The other two screendumps respectively show the Smartthings attribute list and the Smartthings command list, documenting that Smartthings is indeed aware of the relevant capabilities of the thermostat device.
Can anyone help me with that issue?
Thanks in advance!
