Just purchased a HA Green, started it up, connected to the internet using RJ45 direct to router, updated to latest s/w & firmware. Spent hours integrating the switches in my house, installed an sd card, created an automated daily backup and even wrote a simple automation to turn on & off my multiple outside lights at dusk and dawn. All good for a day or so and on the 3rd day i noticed the lights are ON all day.
I have been trying to connect to the HA ever since, tried using Win11 laptop wifi & RJ45 connections on the same router, Samsung cell using wifi & HA App, my desktop RJ45 connected on the same router. I event took the HA connected it to a different router and RJ45 connected my laptop, i tried 4 different RJ45 cables.
NO JOY
Finally i removed the SD card and reset the HA green by 6sec power down followed by a power up with switch depressed till a solid yellow LED. THEN i repeated all the attempts listed above with NO JOY results.
The HA Green sits on my desk with solid white LED, heart beat yellow LED and occasional green LED flash with the Ethernet port solid yellow with occasional flashing.
Looking for help getting it going, thx
Frustrated
P.S
I have tried connecting an RJ45 dongle to access the HA but no joy.
i revisited the router device table and finally found the HA IP but no luck connecting to it. i does respond to ping but that is all the action i get.
finally connected a keyboard and monitor direct to the HA and see Command Prompt type output on the screen with the last line
Waiting for HA CLI to be ready…
i have backup on an SD card but gather i need to correct the OS before i can start trying to restore my work.
Sure could use some directions or pointers to a way out ff this. thx
Wow, not having much luck resolving the green HA start up. Feel free to let me know if this note is posted to a wrong thread so will likely receive more guidance.
i have a monitor & keyboard hooked up and the unit hangs mid start up and then clears the screen with a message Waiting for HA CLI to be ready.
The terminal does not show a prompt but interrupts the process on ^C and re posts the same message again later
Occasional i get it to move using Ctrl-Alt-F2, it interrupts and asks for HA Login. When entering Root i get a # prompt but not able to move forward using Help or any of the commands listed.
The 6sec options to reinstall the OS has not produced results so i am trying to do it use the SD card method and installing Build Root Installer Green 20240410… Using BelenaEtcher trying to create an image card. Not sure what the issue is as each time i try to image the card the process fails needing to reformat the sd card to make it readable. i have a feeling the image is a linux format and i am doing this on a PC.
Sadly this HA Green is turning out to be a bit of a paperweight,
Your system needs a working internet connection to be able to set the clock.
Are you using 2 routers on your network?
In the meantime, all your doings might have make it worse because what you get on that screen is not normal.
Do you have a backup, on another location?
If so: the easiest solution might be to start over (if nobody comes up with another solution) and restore that backup at onboarding.
What URL were you using to connect to your HA?
You could try to shut it down, connect it to a router that is connected to the internet, not one sitting behind another one, check if your HA received an IP address (logs from router or display connected to the green)
