HA Green stopped working. Reset attempts fail

I have had a HA Green in use for about 1.5 years. It was working fine until yesterday when I noticed the app couldnt find it and webpage wouldnt connect to it.

White LED is on, green and yellow LEDs flash constantly. I tried a power cycle and still cannot connect to it, LEDs the same. I notice that it is not even getting an IP allocated to it from my router. I try a different network cable, still the same.

So I try an internet based “factory reset/reinstall” by holding the button at the back and connecting power. There is a flurry of LEDs but eventually it ends with the same LED flashing as when I initially noticed the problem.

So I try an sdcard based “factory reset/reinstall” using the suggested image. Again there is a flurry of LEDs but eventually ends up with the same LED flashing as before.

At no time have I seen it get an IP allocated from my router.

Any ideas for what else to try? After reading online I am wondering if my eMMC chip has reached “end of life”, which seems ludicrous since it is not replacable and would mean my whole HA Green is then “worn out” after just 1.5 years of usage.

Is there some kind of bootable linux image for HA Green I can use to look into it to check emmc state?
