I’m new to HA and have been running it on a Raspberry Pi.
I now have a PC running ZorinOS (Latest version).
HA install on ZorinOS Linux.
What is the correct or best way to install HA a PC running Linux?
The only supported ways are either HAOS (so for you that would mean inside a virtual machine in your Linux OS) or as a container.
Isn’t docker supported?
Why not direct install of HAOS and skip zorinOS?
Read @ below for install info
Yes, as I said either HAOS or container.
I’d cut your risk and expect to migrate everything of value onto your Raspberry Pi. I have my home assistant running on my ‘old’ raspberry pi4 4GB and use my ‘new’ raspberry pi5 as the main web interface, which needs a keyboard mouse and good 2k hdmi screen. Any old linux which has an up to date web browser should be ok to do the web interface task, so if you are a Zorin fan then you can do your web interface from there, keep your notes files and stuff on Zorin, while running HA on your raspberry pi.
Which raspberry pi was it which you had been using ?
