HA jumps to another Matter network when trying to adopt a light

I hope this makes sense: When I try to add an IKEA Matter bulb it seems like HA tries to jump to another network.

Here’s the Matter network overview, I’ve set the HA Yellow as the preferred network:

When I try to Send Credentials it says the following:

(“there’s nothing to import”)

And then I check the Companion App settings and get an all clear:

But when I try to adopt a IKEA Matter bulb it finds the bulb and starts the process, but at this point it seems like it “jumps ship” to another network:

And then afterwards the entire process gives an error message.

I’ve tried everything I could find for solutions:

  • Uninstalled / reinstalled Google Home
  • Reset the cache that removes the Matter credentials
  • Unplugged every Border Router devices in the house except the Yellow

Yet this keeps happening. What can I do?

Android or " Apple-Product " ?

There are several ways You in a structured manner can “Circumvent” The hick-ups when having 2 networks

  1. Shut down the 2 GoogleRouters
  2. Clear Your Google Play Service cache/data on Your Phone ( i assume Android  )

PS: Do remember that if you just uninstall/reinstall Google Home, it’s just an App(on your phone (Which you don’t need to add a device to HA-Matter), right ?
Other Device in You Home will also “cache” Your “Google Matter” Network

Android.

After installing the latest HA Core update it seems to work. Maybe everything just needed a good restart.
