HA not accessible from inside network

Hello,
for a few days now i have been experiencing the problem that i can no longer access HA via the internal (Wifi and Ethernet) network.
when i am not connected to the wifi with my mobile phone it works!
i use duckdns. nothing has changed in my external ip address and internal ip address of HA.
i have no idea what the cause could be.
please help me out with this.

Use httpS in your browser, then Proceed when you get the warning that the site does not provide a secure connection (hidden behind the Advanced button in chrome)

Hi,
Thanks for your reply.
Got the message that the page can not been reached.
Using the https instead of http.
So think it has nothing to do with a kind of certificate error.
When pinging to the xxxx.duckdns.org got the external ip adress back.

Since you can still access on mobile, can you check the logs from the settings page?

Did you use the local IP address or “homeassistant.local”? The latter sometimes doesn’t resolve correctly.

@ShadowFist ,
what kind of logs do you mean by this?

@king1999,
i’am using only one url for both.
so the same for inside and outside the network.
when using the local ip address it works well from inside the network.
Strange thing that it worked untill a few days ago.

Settings > System > Logs.

Check if you get any new errors every time you try to connect.

Sorry,
got lot of choices here. like home assistant core, supervisor and so on
which one is needed?

Start with core. If you don’t see any errors, move to supervisor, etc.

If you attempt to login then check immediately, any errors should be on the screen

strange but not any errors

Nothing wrong with HA. It is likely a network router issue. I used to have a router which failed to route the external IP address inside the network. Check any recent changes in the router.

thx king 1999,
can not see any strange things in the (Ziggo) router.
when i do a ping to the HA server inside the locat network with the extarnal ip address e.g. xxxxxx.duckdns.org it reply the extarnal ip address, so that’s ok.
when i try to reach the HA server with the xxxxxx.duckdns.org:8123 i got the message that the page cannot been reached.
when using the IP address e.g. https://192.168.x.x:8123 it works .
i am out of options here.
any ideas?

Check if you can reach http://xxxxxx.duckdns.org:4357 instead.

If not, try with a different browser or incognito for both port 8123 & port 4357

Hi Raspy,
Given that you say that you can connect on the internal IP:8123 but not the URL:8123.
Suggests a DNS issue more than anything else! Do you have an internal DNS server?

Wow, lot to read.
Thanks very much for your time .
But still no result.
Are you familiar with the Ziggo modem (living in the netherlands) can not find anything regarding hairpin!
Any idea?

Hi,
No, not having any dns except the duckdns one.

Sorry not familiar with Ziggo.
I just checked if I have the same problem. My external dynamc dns name doesn’t work in the local network either. So I have the same issue. LOL. But the homeassistant.local works fine inside and I wouldn’t want to wast time on it.

I suspect it never worked for you. You may have been on the mobile network when you thought it worked.

No problem,
If your router is issuing a static/reserved IP for your homeassistant? I would install the Dnsmasq add-on and configure it replicate the IP to hostname. Personally my DNS is mached with my firewall and DHCP.
