My setup includes an old notebook running HA. Typically I connect using my main PC and all is well. Typically around the house I try to connect with my cell phone, the Android/Samsung.
I do have a paid cloud account but haven’t really used it yet.
My issue is that I cannot connect to HA with my cell in my house unless my PC is running and connected. In the evening, when I shut off the PC for the day, I can no longer use my cell to connect.
Any suggestions?
This does not make any sense. If the notebook that HA is running on is not powered down what would your phone care if the PC is on or not?
Unless you are running your DNS and/or DHCP server on the PC?
Nope. Those are not running on the PC. It used to work just fine. Not sure what changed. I am using the cloud address (Nabu Casa) now and am able to bring up HA on my cell but it should come up on the local network.

There is definitely something wrong with your local network.
One client disconnecting from HA should not affect another client.
