HA Notify - Native Windows 11 notifications from Home Assistant
Hi everyone,
I wanted to share a small app I’ve been working on called HA Notify.
There are already solutions for getting Home Assistant notifications on Windows, including HASS.Agent and ha-windows. I wanted something focused just on notifications that felt native on both ends: a standard notify.mobile_app_... action in Home Assistant, similar to sending a notification to your phone, and real Windows 11 notifications on the desktop.
The app runs in the system tray and has a simple WinUI 3 settings window that follows your Windows light or dark theme.
Currently, it supports:
- Notifications with a title and message.
- Optional startup when you sign in to Windows.
- Automatic reconnection if the connection is interrupted.
- Update checks, with an installer that closes and reopens the app for you.
Setup is through the app: enter your Home Assistant address, a long-lived access token, and a name for your PC, then connect. Your connection settings are encrypted locally using your Windows account.
It’s an early release for Windows 11 x64. The focus is basic text notifications for now, and your PC needs to be awake with the app running to receive them.

The installer is currently unsigned.
Feedback and bug reports are welcome. Hopefully this is useful to anyone looking for a simple way to get their HA notifications on their desktop!
