HA running well on the pi5. I do a LanScan and the host name is blank. Why would it be blank? I tried to fix this with raspy-config but it can't find the app to run. Do I need to fix this How to fix it?
Your install method matters here, but for HAOS the default hostname is homeassistant and you can usually get to it using homeassistant.local if mdns is functioning correctly.
If you have installed some other way, no idea.
Generally a server does not publish a hostname.
What you see in your LanScan program is a service check, like Windows SMB, but HA might not be providing that service (as standard/yet).
Is This LanScan a HA integration/APP ?, Or simply Your Iphone APP ?
Definitely a MacOS specific app!

Agreed, Nmap Tracker would be the best native method to start with for HA. ![]()
