HA-Remote Control

same for me, no paypal. I think it deserve a good discount code

Sorry for any inconvenienceour engineer was aware of this issue and is urgently handling it

I’m sorry to have worried you, but we are working hard to resolve the payment issue
We attended the HA offline party in Berlin yesterday with our product and it was well received by many people

We are urgently dealing with this issue and we apologize for any inconvenience caused
But for the sales of the product, please rest assured

I gave this a go and ordered it. My order number is S00113 so I guess that means I am within first 500 orders :-).

During checkout I chose the wire transfer option. In the quote there was an option to use a PayPal adres which I did.

Upon my email request I got a response that the payment was received and the order will be fulfilled.

This remote looks very promising and I have been looking for such a thing for a while. I hope the shipment will be sent as promised in October and that it will give me the HA remote experience that I would like. Fingers crossed :crossed_fingers:

Thank you for your support. We will definitely provide you with a satisfactory product

looks like a great product but the “we are working hard to resolve the payment issue” is cooling me down a bit. I’ll wait until Paypal comes back online before trying my luck.

Payment error

Well
they first get your id (email, phone number and adress) then their secure payment platform “fail” then you receive a mail from “Charles” with a quotation and a way to do wire transfer but when you reply to that email saying that “I’ll wait until paypal works” , you got

and the “LEARN MORE” is a page in Chinese saying that you or the mail content is a spam. So it looks like their own spam filter is at best “buggy”

PS: I have also asked Deepseek “Is Sanytron HA remote control a spam?”

And even when I said that they presented their products in IFA, Deepseek is not changing his mind

PS2 : Both Chatgpt and gemini reports Sanytron as not spam

I got the quote. Tried clicking their secondary PayPal link and got taken to a Chinese website.

Looks pretty scammy to me. The website advertises a black and silver version of the remote and does not really show the black one. Which is quite unusual.

also, I received a email with a personal paypal account asking me to pay directly their. Transfering money to a personal paypal account will NOT protect you.

Here’s how PayPal protection works:

:white_check_mark: When you are protected

  • If you pay through PayPal’s “Goods & Services” option, your purchase is generally covered by PayPal Buyer Protection. That means if the seller never ships, ships a fake, or sends the wrong item, you can open a dispute and possibly get your money back.
  • You should see the transaction listed in your PayPal account with a seller name/business name and a transaction ID.

:warning: When you are NOT protected

  • If the seller asks you to send money to a personal PayPal account (like @qq.com) using “Friends & Family”, then you have no buyer protection. It’s like wiring money — once it’s gone, you can’t dispute it.
  • If the seller only gives you an email to send money to, without an official PayPal invoice or a link to pay via their store, that’s already a red flag. Legitimate companies typically use a registered business PayPal account or accept card payments through secure platforms.
  • An email ending in @qq.com is a free, personal mailbox — not a professional business domain. This is common with scams.

Either way I have changed my PayPal account password just incase there is a phishing attempt in there somewhere. When clicking on the PayPal link I was provided it takes me to a http: Chinese website unsecure.

With the sign up process they collected name, address, email, a password (for their site). Then send links to stray places.

@Sones do you have any comment for this?

Do not wire unprotected money to any vendor. Wait for the PayPal issues to be resolved or do not purchase. Also it would be wise wait until the the HA integration is published publicly.

Caveat Emptor.

Definitely not wiring anything unless a legitimate PayPal account is given. My posts here are more a warning to other users. I really do hope this remote is real tangible object though.

When you actually get a PayPal that works I will purchase one.

It is October when will the remotes be shipped?
@Sones
@ultrabarx

The Ultra Bar looks nice but it doesn’t have a price on the website
What’s the damage on one of those?

I have had no response from these clowns and they have gone awfully quiet in this thread.

Can anyone verify this actually happened?
