HA-Remote Control

Yes I have seen images of that one. I would not mind the tilted up screen. The Astrion only having 1GB of RAM is a worry, I feel this will affect performance. The other options have 4GB.

Yes, it seems like an odd thing to compromise on given how cheap a few extra GB of RAM would be. My hope is that the very simple nature of the device means it can cope - i.e. that it’s just HA API so doesn’t have to manage IR or other more complex stuff itself - it just hands everything off to HA. I guess we’ll see…

Reviews aren’t great on the Remote 3, but it’s early in it’s development

A regular on this forum purchased one and mentioned he posted it for re-sale fairly fast!

The Remote 2 seemed the goods but all talk on the development front seems to be very quiet for folded circle. Much better when it was a development kit sent out that you had to assemble yourself.

For the price of the Sanytron, it is a much less expensive paper weight.

I was addicted to smart remotes until HA.

I still have multiple Harmony remotes and the Hub. I had high hopes for Remote 3, but at this point, any tablet and HA can compete with most smart remotes currently available on the market.

Yes, the 3 is fairly new, but the 2 was around for a while before that.

I’m aware

Yes, as I mentioned, I’ve moved all my actual automation logic to HA but for the main tv remotes, I still want actual hard buttons vs. unlock, load the app, etc. just to mute the tv when someone’s talking to me.

I think that is what started my HA addiction. Had Harmony since the real early models. My Elites are still going strong, with some mods to integrate switching non hue home appliances, with the hue bridge integration.

Still have my 850 somewhere.

My main remotes are still Pronto TSU9400, which are coming up for 20 years old…

Do you have one on order?

I dropped an order 6 days ago, after I tested the RosCard and got pics and video from the factory. Still unsure but enough evidence to give it a go. Due to be shipped tomorrow from previous conversation, see how they go keeping on time.

Yes - same here. I ordered once paypal was available again. I got a mail this morning saying they’re starting to ship this weekend so I guess we’ll wait and see.
