If you connected the Astrion before creating the card, the remote will not update automatically. After the view has been created, you will need to select “Refresh”. please try it first,if it not work ,please let me know

Modify the default home name, then refresh the remote control (The reason is the default home; at present, we cannot accurately identify which room it is.)

That’s an interesting question.
I’ve an official cert on a domain name however the connection page shows the instance “discovered” as the local Ip address but as http. I can manually enter the domain or Ip address, and select https over the default http and the problem is the same for both, so I’m guessing it’s ignoring my typing and automatically trying to connect to the discovered address.
Hopefully they will resolve shortly, so I can start playing!

It’s well made, the base is quite weighty, ensuring it sits flat on your table and the screen seems quite responsive. I now see the firmware is updated so will need to update and try again!

I just got back from vacation and mine was waiting for me - successfully connected to my ha instance and looking forward to setting it over next week. Quick question - I was expecting the keys to have a backlight, but they don’t seem to be. Are they supposed to be?

I can’t find any images of this version, where there is a backlight on the keys.

There is this video that is titled New iRemote for Home Assistant, that does have back light keys, this may be the next version.

yes,backlight is available

@Sones - can you share any more information on the iRemote for Home Assistant?

@sones backlight for the keys on the current Astrion Remote? How?

Thanks @Sones . Good to know it’s supposed to work on our Astrions. Is there anything to enable it? As you can see from the comments here, for some (all?) of us, there’s no backlight showing currently. Having re-watched the video, I’ve tried mine again and the backlight is actually working - it’s just really dim… Looking at it in a dimly light room I can’t see it, but it is working if I look in a really dark room (curtains drawn, lights off). So, maybe the feedback would actually be - at least on my Astrion - the backlight is too dim and you need to add a brightness option (or just maybe make it brighter)

@Sones Are there any specific requirements for media player entities? If I create a view and add simple entities (e.g. lamp, switch etc.) they show up fine when I select the view (after a refresh). However, if I add a media player entity, I don’t see anything on the Astrion - just an empty page. Is there anything I can do to try and debug what the problem is?

I have already feedback this issue, and will inform you of any further updates

The current version mainly supports SONOS, and we will release a new version this week that supports most of media players. You can update and test it over the weekend
